The name does in fact means "Gift from God" if you ever read the Bible you will notice that the name Yehowah is mostly used in contexts to God the word "El" will usually be used as a way to reference any kind of god (Greek, Roman, etc etc) while Elohim is used in context to the one true God that appears in the Bible.
