Where did it come from? What does it mean?
I have found a few under this name on an internet search. Most were from the 1800's. This name is eludeing me as to it's origin and meaning. Can anyone help? thanks

Just a thought, but taking just the 'Aloy', it may have originated from the German.

Hi there, from the information given on the site below, it would seem that the name Aloyed came up alot in German immigrants to the USA around the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
