Our new grand daughter is named Illyana.
She was born yesterday (11-22-2016), we haven't determined the reason they chose the name. Just happy that everyone is okay.

Many years! That's great!And she has a beautiful name, too. Kind of sounds a bit like Eliana or Elena. Nice!

Or just Slavic.
As much as I love the X-Men, Ilya is very common in Slavic countries and this is just the female version. It's common enough.

Illyana is legitimate. It just isn't in the database.

Illyana (spelled Илияна or Илиана) is a female name used in Bulgaria. Actually, it is the female form of a frequent male name Илия (Illia) which corresponds to Elijah.
