Was Bryn / Brynn used as a feminine name in the 50's or even more so in the past like 30's and 20's?

If you mean in the US, it seems to have suddenly come into use in 1949, when 18 girls were given the name Brynn, with that spelling. I can't find any before that.

In the UK it's always been male, with usage mostly confined to Wales - it's a masculine noun in Welsh. There's a couple of feminisations - Brynda & Brynwen.
