I've been reading about Oliver and Company a few minutes ago and I saw that Roscoe is voiced by Taurean Blacque. I've looked on the T section but it isn't there. Is it a form on Taran? Taran's also the boy in The Black Cauldron, is he? I've seen that Taran's not in the T section either. Is it the male form of Tara? If not, then what do Taran and and Taurean mean?

The Black Cauldron takes me back, hoho! In that case, it's just a 'made-up' name, probably drawing on the name of the old Celtic thunder god, Tarannos (whose name is related to the more familiar Germanic god of the same natural phenomenon, Thunor/Donner/Thor).

That spelling suggests "born under Taurus," the zodiacal constellation. Or, as a synonym for taurine, "bull-like."

I'm not positive, but I've heard there is a name Torean which is Scottish for "craggy hills." I would have to do more research on it, but if its true it could be where Taurean came from.
