Kalċidon
A few weeks back I added the name Kalċidon with its origin from Chalcedon which comes from Greek 'khalkós' meaning 'copper' but the name has been deleted. A Google search shows there is evidence of its usage, including a Maltese folk singer and a politician.
Did I get the etymology wrong, and if so may I have some assistance on the etymology? If not, is there another reason it was deleted?

It is your duty to give some evidence that a specific form is used as a given name. We editors usually do some checks before deleting a name; but we cannot do exhaustive searches.

Thank you. I will do that in future; I really don't want to be annoying or anything. I'm really sorry for the inconvenience.

The sources offered by OP prove the existence of the word and of the town. I can't find it as a given name, though

Also from various news articles about them, Kalcidon Zammit appears to be the name of a folk singer, and Kalcidon Vassallo a priest or someone highly regarded who was accused of something or other, as far as I can tell.

l've undeleted it and added the person above in notes. please, when adding a rare name provide links to people with this name, like you just did in this post.
