Shemar is an alternate spelling of Shamar, and is probably simply a recent African-American creation blending the sounds of names such as Shaquille and Lamar to come up with a new name. Therefore it probably has no "meaning" other than "name of a hot actor on the American television soap opera The Young and the Restless ."
