Patson Last Name
The family came to United States from Czechoslovakia in early 1900's. The name was changed at that time and am looking for spelling for original name. My husband's grandfather was born in Czechoslovakia and his name was Charles Patson. Would love to know what the name was previously.

It seems like your father anglicised his name.
Czechoslovakia even exist as a country during that period. Depending on what Charles's ethnicity was, I imagine his original first name was Karel (if he was Czech) or Karol (Slovak). It's much more difficult to find the surname, You could start by searching his documents or immigration records.

Patson isn't last name from Czechoslovakia
