By "King," I am guessing that you mean David, since you made reference to Tamar. Is that correct?
If so, what text tells you that it was David's dog's name? (It would be extra-Biblical history.)
Yes, TAMAR means "palm tree," but that doesn't account for the name TAMBRA. It may have ties to TAMBOURINE/TIMBREL.
(Also, is TAMBRA a male name or female?)
