MEANING OF THE NAME
I HAVE READ IN ARCHIVED MESSAGES THAT IT MEANS "TO ENTICE" FROM THE FRENCH VERB "ENJOULER". I LOOKED UP THE WORD "ENTICE" IN MY ENGLISH/FRENCH DICTIONARY AND IT SAID THE FRENCH WORD FOR ENTICE IS
"aguicher = entice *[verb]". I AM NO EXPERT, BUT IT SOUNDS PRETTY FAR OFF TO ME.
I ALSO LOOKED UP THE WORDS ENJOULER AND ENJOLER WHICH THE FRENCH DICTIONARY DID NOT RECOGNIZE.
I HAVE READ IN ARCHIVED MESSAGES THAT IT MEANS "BEWITCHED OR BEWITCHER". LOOKING UP BEWITCH OR LURE OR TEMPT OR CHARMING OR CHARMER PRODUCES FRENCH WORDS NOTHING LIKE THE NAME.
IT COULD, HOWEVER, MEAN "TO ADORN" FROM THE FRENCH VERB "enjoliver = adorn *[verb]"
AS IF TO SAY THAT HAVING THE WOMAN NAMED ENJOLI BY YOUR SIDE OR FOR YOUR DAUGHTER WOULD BE THE ULTIMATE ADORNMENT TO YOUR LIFE?
