"Glade" would be a better approximation of Lee [< |leah|] than "meadow."
Per http://www.yourdictionary.com/lea , "Lucus" is the Classical Latin for "glade."
Using that morpheme, I would propose Lucus/Luca [glade/she-glade] or Lucanus/Lucana [man/woman from the glade]. This may be the basis for the name LUCAN.
(I wonder if that's the inspiration for Luke & Leia Skywalker...?)
