Message: "Taysir" - Behind the Name

Hello !

Does somebody know the meaning of this name ? It's Arabic, and seems to be used for both sexes (I know a girl named like this, and after a google search I found a (male) journalist named Taysir Alouni).

According to Digest of Muslim Names by Fatimah Suzanne Al Ja'fari, Taysir or Taisir is a male name meaning "facilitation" in Arabic, and was originally used as a Muslim name with the idea that the child's birth was facilitated by God.
