According to the SSA, there are no significant numbers of people named Lyric. To protect identities, the SSA doesn't reveal names that are only used for a small number of individuals.
So, unless a person older than you or a person that knows an older Lyric comes to this board its unlikely for you to know for certain.
Have you attempted to search ancestry records? Just through a quick search, I only find it as a surname.
