any one know the meaning behind the name MIRETTA??

I have discovered that my Great grandmother's middle name is Miretta.
I thought what a beautiful name for a little girl.
I thought Miretta Ellen Love
My wife and I are having twins and the boy's name will be
Xavier Marquis Love
What do you all think?

The names are beautiful! They really do go well together. The name Miretta kind of sounds French to me. I honestly don't know. Won't it be wonderful to tell your daughter one day how she was named after her Great-Great-Grandmother! Good luck and best wishes for you and your twins!

This is pure speculation. Miretta may be a form of:
1. Mir, Slavic for "peace",
2. Myra , Greek for "fragrant," or
3. Mary , Hebrew for "bitter"
