Genneille
I had always assumed my name was made up... mostly because my mom made it up, as far as she knew. I was supposed to be "Chenille" but my grandfather threatened to nickname me bedspread, so my mom got creative. However; I have recently discovered both a male and a female "Genneille" as well as several "Genneil"s on FB, and now I'm wondering if my name might have origins elsewhere. "Genneille" was found in Trinidad and South Cotabato, and "Genneil" the Philippines as well, and Jamaica and maybe Mexico. That's the best I've been able to find out so far; anyone know anything else?

Probably you are just discovering that lots of parents in the world besides your mother create new names.
Caribbean and Filipino cultures are both ones where newly created names are fairly common. One way parents commonly invent new names is by blending sounds from two other names. Genneille is something that many people could come up with by combining the start of Jenny or Genevieve with the ending of names like Camille, Lucille, Corneille, Mireille, etc. So it's probably been "reinvented" by separate parents several times.

I think you are right... I was surprised by the number of Genneils that popped up, though. It just got me curious. Genneille was kind of a toughy growing up, even if the name is made up, at least I know I'm not alone! ;-) Thanks for replying!
