I would like to know if my sister's name could be added to list?
Hi my name is Nicole and I was wondering if It would be okay to request the submission of my older sister's name be added to the database. Her name is Shaunna, spelled with two N's instead of one. It's a variant of the name Shauna which you have listed in the names database. For soooooo...many years she could never find any where, in any place the spelling of her name on anything; even on a keychain! The key chains always spelled Shauna instead of the way her name is spelled, plus other baby names books or websites list do NOT list her names' spelling anywhere. The only close spelling on those lists and books is the one with only one N, not two like hers and it has always been very frustrating for her.
Our mom chose the spelling because she had heard the name for years but never knew exactly what the correct spelling of it was until she saw a friend of hers name her daughter the same name but saw that her friend spelled it Shauna with one N. Mom liked the name but chose the extra N because she felt that it looked prettier spelled with the extra N. If you can add it, that would be so absolutely awesome! She deserves to have her name recognized on a names database. Thank you for your time. I greatly appreciate it.

You may submit a name by hovering over "Interact" on the above header and then clicking "submit name" and add your variation. It may not make it into the database, but thats how you would submit a name.
My niece finally has the keychain problem. Her name ends in -lynn, not -lyn, which I was finally able to find on a Christmas ornament in December. I'm not sure if that is a common enough variation to add at this time.
