I have in my family line from Norway/Scandinavian background, the name Stolpstuen
I am trying to find the origin and meaning of the name.

two ancestors with the name:
Ole Bersvenson Stolpstuen -1780s
Johannes Olsen Stolpstuen -(1816-1896)

Stolpe means "pole" and stue means "house; cottage", so I guess it means "timbered house".
