I dissected the letters in this name and got two words: Lumena, a female (Spanish) name meaning Light, and Shino, a male (Japanese) name meaning faith. Light of faith? Who knows.

The cat Yeats wrote about was certainly male! But most people would not connect cats with either light or faith. Are there any records of the family of Irish cat-owners knowing both Spanish and Japanese? That would be a more interesting line of enquiry.
