As common as My name is "Stephen" is because if You see the pronunciation icons it has two Stee-ven and STEF-en. It also seems to be when people read as it looks people think "STEF-en" and when they have that in their head and re-write the name it comes out "Stephan"
If You spell Your kid's name like "Stephen" do You tell them it's like having two names in one or do You insist it's one or the other?
