Timarete derives from the Greek words "TIMH"(sounds tee-MEE), to honour and "ARETE" (a-re-TEE), virtue. Its exact meaning is "honour to virtue".
Timarete was a priestess in Dodone, contemporary to Herodotus (5th cent. BCE).
"Until the day that an ancient inscription will be found with the name "Alexandrovski" written on it instead of "Alexander", true Macedonia and true Macedonians will remain Greek, as they always were."
