Pronunciation of Reier (Norwegian)
In my family tree, there's a high frequency of Reier. I can't really find much on it, and I'm very interested in how it would be pronounced in Norwegian.
I appreciate any help!

In Norwegian I think it would be pronounced RAY-ehr.
Actually, Reier is a version of Reidar (as is Reiar). It is very unusual, only 40 people (men) in Norway are named Reiar. Reidar is a lot more common,
Origin: Hred (house, home) and Ar (probably form Arr; warrior)
RAY-er is pretty close, but you could also pronounce it more like RAI-er, depending on your dialect.
