Memnon / Agamemnon & Menes
If Agamemnon is possibly "very steadfast", am I then right in assuming Memnon on its own possibly means "steadfast" (since aga means "very")? If not, what does Memnon means then?
I was also wondering why it's possibly "very steadfast". What is uncertain about the meaning?
Also, about the a comment on the name Menes:
Since 'men' in Ancient Egyptian can mean "established", Menes could mean roughly 'He who is established/He who establishes'. An apt name for the first pharaoh of a unified Egypt.
Does this have any merit? Could it means something like this, or is that unlikely? Are there other possible meanings?
