BODE and GIAN
I was watching the Olympics and saw two guys:
BODE Miller and
GIAN Quasar (?)Any ideas about their first names?

Thanks to both of you! mBODE as a surname - this could be German. In that case there may be a connection to BODO (originally "ruler" and later "messanger"). Thanks for the tip!And GIAN: In fact when I first heard the name I thought, it was JOHN. So in a way it is.

From what I've read, Bode Miller's mother was supposedly a hippie and the name just popped into her head. Bode is a surname, but I could not come up with any information concerning the meaning and origin.
