names for individuals
i absolutely love names sooo much. i like to make them up, too. there are soo many cool word combinations and expressive foreign words that people could use as names, but people continue to name their kids after what everybody else in america names their kids. WE NEED TO BE CREATIVE!! i guess there's nothing wrong with traditional names, but life is so full of possibility, dare to be different. this is my plea to all of the parents out there who are searching for a name for their baby. make it something that makes a person stop and think when they hear it. some of my favorite names that i've either come up with or heard are... girls- Sabriel (gabriel with an S), Lucent (as in the last 2 syllables of translucent), Sapphire, Elistar, Eauen(owen f.), Lorelei, Tallulah, Jaden, Lolita, Etoilee (A- twah- Lay, meaning starry f., in french), Avelina, Emeria, Ameria, Julliae (jeul-E-A, with the juh sound for j), Schuyler.
boys- Tristan, Aiden, Lucien, Octavien, Damian, Ashton, Andreas, Mason, Satchel, Atherton.- i know there's not as many, but boys names are harder.
if anybody actually does decide to use one of these names for thier baby,(which i doubt anyone will do, because of the tendancy to use already popular names)please e- mail me and let me know.
thanx, kallie

Nice names Kallie, actually a couple of those names I have considered for future kids like Lorelei and Jaden . And Tristan has always been a fav of mine! Though I think Jaden could go for both a boy or girl. Nice contribution.Gia Nadine

I love newly created names, too -- so long as there's some logical method employed in their creation so that the new name actually has a plausible meaning. And I can see that you've done that with your creations! Very nice, Kallie. :)The newly created names that I don't really care for are the ones that some parents apparently just dream up with absolutely no rhyme or reason to them. And then their kids come to this board and ask, what does my name mean? And, of course, they really ought to be asking their mommas what it means -- but I'm starting to suspect that maybe they *have* asked their mommas, and their mommas have simply forgotten what the heck they were thinking of when they named those kids!-- Nanaea

Good thing Elaine 's not around anymore. I can just imagine the fun she'd have with Kallie's post!;)
