Hello. I have a foster son who would like a little info on his name. He is black, mother was french decent (probably Haitian, has passed away) and he's heard about 4 different pronunciations of his name. Can anyone help? It's Esiae, said "Isaiah", "EE-SHY-AH", "EE-Sigh-AH", and "Es-Eye-Ah". Does anyone know this name?

The French form of Isaiah is pron. ee-zah-ee, unfortunately I can't remember the spelling!!

Well, according to Bible Gateway the Haitian Creole form of Isaiah is Ezayi: http://snipurl.com/mcxy. I'm afraid I don't have any more info than that.

My French is quite limited so I'm unaware of how a French (or Haitian) would pronounce it.
