where does the name Bernatchez originate?

I find it in Gascony (southwest France) and speculate that it may be Spanish or Basque in origin.

guysZador sounds Hungarian (like Sandor).Fellass sounds like Felice pronounced the English way, not fe-lee-tchay like in Italian.About the girls, I had an idea: maybe Joralyna is some kind of combo of Jorie and Lina?

girlsElonda: variation of Eluned? A website I've seen listed it as a Welsh name made of "eilun", image, and "da", good.Carenatta: Italian or Spanish form of Charnette? Or maybe a variation or pet form of Macarena or Karena?Katari: variation of Katarina or Katri?Otile: form of Ottilie or Odile?

How does Elonda coming from Elodia sound? I.e. Elodia -> Eloda -> Elonda.Miranda

It is possible, yup. Eloda could be a variation of Elodia, and Elonda a pet form (probably Spanish or Italian) of Eloda... :)

I'd wager Otile was derived from Ottilie.Miranda

Hmmm, thinking about it that would seem entirely possible. Thanks Miranda. :)
