Enorina
Has anyone heard of the name of Enorina? This is my cousin's name, though we usually shorten it to Norina or Nina. Her father, from Southern Mexico, named her after his sister, and my cousin recently named her own daughter it. No one in our family has every encountered this name anywhere else. I've been trying to find out where it could have come from, and what it might mean. Any ideas?

I would suggest that it could be a "corruption" of Honorina (c/f Honorine)? The sounds match fairly closely.
