Aoyun is a chinese name. I heard that when China was selected to host the Olympics in 2008 thousands of kids were given the name Aoyun(=Olympic Games)奧運. I also read that 92% of the named children where boys.
My question is: could this name be used for a girl? And if so, was it at all popular before the Olympics, at about 1990?
