I was reading the comments for the name Madelyn, and someone said that it is a Biblical name. Is that true?

No, it's just a more modern variant of Madeline, which is itself derived from the Biblical name Magdalene.

No, Madelyn is an English spelling variant of Madeline. Madeline comes from Magdalene, which means "from Magdala," as in Mary Magdalene. So Magdalene is Biblical, and Madelyn is traced back to it. But Madelyn itself is not Biblical.
