The name "Anakin"
I was wondering; I really like the name Anakin and I was wondering is
it or was it a real name for a boy in history? If so, where does it
originate from? Please let me know....Do you know if it is becoming
popular?

Anakin was the original name of Darth Vader and the father of Luke Skywalker in the Star Wars series of movies. Generally it is not a name which is commonly given to real people.

Anakin: "Anakim" is one of the several names in the Old Testament for a race of giants, "the sons of the gods [who] lay with the daughters of men" [Genesis 6:4]; "Anakim" is plural. this may refer to Anakin's great height, if Vader's size was not installed with the armor. Like most made-up names, he clearly didn't make it up from scratch. Part OT (or OTT?) giants, and part a well known analgesic, I'd say (k for c) - guaranteed to cure your pain for ever ...
