Ashoka
I posted a similar post on the O board.
Does anyone know whether this name, which means "without sorrow" in Sanskrit and is masculine, has a definite link to the song Ashokan Farewell?

I was just looking up info...(m)
On the song for my sister--I had to figure out where it was from for her. It probably doesn't relate to Ashoka, unless I misread my information.
According to the official FAQ (found on jayandmolly.com), it says that Ashokan is most likely a corruption of an Indian word--and by Indian, I think they mean Native American, since the place is in New York.
Ashoka is a cool name.
