Johanna - pronunciation(s)?
I posted a question about this on the opinion board but I thought I'd ask here too.
What is the correct pronunciation of Johanna? Is there more than one? I always thought it was either jo-HAN-ah (in America - I'm American) or yo-HAH-nah. After seeing some other opinions I think I might be mistaken. I'm also very curious as to which syllable is emphasized.
Thanks very much!

In Sweden, it's pr. yo-HUN-nah. I guess the German pr. is the same.
I only know the proper German pronunciation: yo-HAN-a, with stress on the middle syllable.
It can be pronunced several ways. These are all correct:
jo-HAH-nah
jo-HAN-ah
yo-HAH-nah
yo-HAN-ah
jo-ANN-ah
jo-AH-nah
Array
jo-HAH-nah
jo-HAN-ah
yo-HAH-nah
yo-HAN-ah
jo-ANN-ah
jo-AH-nah
