Niamh / Neva?
Is there a way to spell Neva (NEEV-ah) using the more traditional spellings?
I really like Niamh, but I prefer Neva.
However, people tend to see that spelling and pronounce it like NEV-ah.
Is there a decently legitimate spelling that would be pronounced NEE-vah?
Could I get away with Naoimhe (like Caoimhe)?
Or simply Niamhe / Niamha?
Was there ever a name pronounced NEEV-ah in any Celtic languages?

I think Naoimhe looks the best of the spellings you suggest. Niamhe and Niamha - I don't like. Maybe Niabha? I would spell it Neeva myself - less confusing.
AFAIK there is no name prn Nee-vah in Irish.
