I was concerned about my first name since I am learning more of my ancestry. I am an "African American" male, of course born in the United States of America. But I do believe that I have a hebrew ancestry. I was given the name Lezell after my grandad. If you could help me to find the meaning of my name I will be grateful

It is a bit strange for me to hear that a man has the name Lezell ! I am a White South African Female. I dont have any Hebrew ancestry at all. Lezell is a family name for the woman in my family. We have a German ancestry. I can not say for sure but my grandmother and great grandmother always told me that my name means poet or artist. As I said I am not a hundred percent sure if that is correct. its nice to know that I share my name with some one. I have never come acros another lezell here in South Africa.
