Russian nicknames
My friend know a Russian girl with the name Dasha, which is a pet from of the name Daria.
BUT, this is her full name. Not Daria or anything. Just Dasha.
I don't actually know this girl, but my friend does, so i'm not sure if she was born in Russia or not.
Are Russian nicknames ever used as full names in Russia?
And if they were, what would be the general reaction to meeting someone who had a diminuitive as a first name? (in Russia, of course).
Za soluna, za stambola,
Bitola ne davam...
