First name LOUINE (f.)

I came accross the name LOUINE, and the girl said it was Spanish.
To me it looks like a French name based on Louise with the ending -INE attached like in Josephine. Any ideas?

looks more like a variation on "Louise" or "Lou-Anne", to me.

it also appears to be a French surname, and it's possible someone just adapted it as a female first name.
