Hello.. wow I am very grateful for all these replies. My husbands grandfather is from Michigan and NO one seems to know (he has passed about 20 years ago) what it means, where it came from, etc. I am perplexed. we have chosen this name for our son's middle name and I am now "worried".. and yet not, as now I am just plain wanting to know.
We spoke to his grandmother, whom was married to him, and she says she does not know and she is the big family geneologist. I have yet to come across anyone with the name to simply inquire with the hopes of a true answer.
