Hello. My name is Lanien (pronounced "Lah-neen"). It was my understanding that "Lanien" was of French origin. I have always
been asked about the origins of my name with no for sure answer.
My mother had a college acquaintance here in Alaska who was named
Lanien and that's what my parents decided to name me.
I'd love to hear from others with this same name.
