This web site lists the name Maldwyn as welsh for Baldwin/Baldwyn (English). I can not say for sure whether or not that some people use Maldwyn for Baldwin/Baldwyn. My middle name is Maldwyn and where my family is from in Wales, Maldwyn translates to Montgomery. The people of Mid-Wales (Powys/Montgomeryshire) also use the name Maldwyn when referring to the county of Montgomeryshire, Wales.
