Old Norse, ending in R?
As for pronunciation, what do you do with an old Norse name that ends in a consonant + R? Eirikr, for example. How do you pronounce that? Is there a general rule for a consonant + R ending in old Norse?

My guess is that it was pronounced like the Icelandic Eiríkur. After all, Icelandic is most close to Old Norse.
