7-Letter Names
I need to know if there is any way that I can search for seven-letter names. The reason why I ask is because I have heard theories suggesting that if a name is patterned (such as a five-letter first name, a seven-letter middle name, and a nine-letter last name) that the child possessing the name will have a better chance of being psycologically stable. I know, this sounds like a crackpot theory, but I have decided that it is better to be safe than sorry. So please reply if you have any information on the subject. If you can, just email me. Thank you.

Hi Simon,
On this site: www.dufa.de you can search for 7-letters-names (they've listed 9276 7-letter-names at the moment).
It's a German site - you can fill in your search options on the left (Suchoptionen). For your search you don't need to fill in anything, you just pick 7 + 7 at both drop downs and click on "suche starten" then.

No search facility has been set up for that sort of thing yet, you'll simply have to do the hard slog through name books discarding all options but those with 7 letters.
But as a parent I would caution that there is no magic name ticket to psychological soundness...consider 7-letter bearers Charles Manson, Vincent Van Gogh and Timothy McVeigh. Those 3 alone blow all sorts of holes in the 'theory' ;o)

He said that the name had to be PATTERNED! Such as 5 first name, 7 middle name, 9 letter last name. Just having seven letters in your first name doesn't fit the bill. So, Charles, Vincent and Timothy have nothing to do with this.
Hmmm, I don't think Vincent van Gogh deserves a place at the list together with to other two. OK, he was mentally disturbed, but not a MURDERER.
True but I wasn't making a point about how the psychological unevenness manifested itself, only that none of the three would be assessed as psychologically sound and thus 7 letter names didn't seem to help them much ;o)
Devon (5 letters...wonder what that's good for? LOL)
