This is almost certainly a recently created name that blends Dax and Dexter. The creators of the video game "Jak and Daxter" seem to be primarily responsible for it. Many creators of fictional characters like this are going to deliberately slightly alter other names in order to get a name which is familiar-sounding but also easy to trademark.
