I know the name Lauren was popularized as a girl name by Lauren Bacall, but was it possible for it to be a girl name before that? When did it first become a possible name for a girl? I know it would have been pretty rare, but when was this name first actually considered a name?

Since it was originally a masculine name, I'd imagine it didn't become considered a feminization of Laurence until it became popular on girls. However, Laura has always been a feminine name and has been in use for a long time.
