Scottish pronunciation

How do you pronounce Islay and Isla? Is it like Izley and Izlah or something a little more complicated? I can never tell with Gaelic names. Thanks for any answers.

Islay is pronounced Eye-lay and Isla is pronounced Eye-la as in island, sorry i didn't make that clear. i also thought they could both be used for a girl.

Isla for a girl...Isla Sinclair was a minor celebrity in Britain a while back.

I think they're pronounced something like EYE-lay and EYE-lah like in the word island. Someone will probably know more about this than me though!

Mada's right- EYE-lee and EYE-la. They aren't as complicated as they look!
