New user looking for a good name for a wolf-turned-human. n.n;
Hello, thank you for taking the time to read this and/or help me find a name. I've only recently discovered this site and I've all ready found it to be most useful n_n But, well you see I'm writing a novel and one of the supporting characters is a wolf who is accidentally turned into a human by the main character, so I am looking for a name that means "wolf". And while the site does have many names that mean "wolf" the only ones I found that aren't(in my opinion) horrible were Loup; Varg; and Ulric. And I'm really not too crazy for them n.n; ...So I would be very much obliged if some of you could help me by suggesting other some names that mean "Wolf" or "Wolf-Like".

Ohkami/Okami (OH-KAH-MEE) is Japanese for "wolf" and oh-okami (OH-OH-KAH-MEE) would mean "were-wolf." Okami Jin (JIHN) is Japanese for "wolf person/man/human". Gina (GEE-NAH) is Japanese for silver, if your wolf character is silver. :)
How 'bout Christopher?
Christopher, a Christian Saint, belonged to a race of canine-headed people. Before becoming a Christian martyr, he used to eat travellers. He now protects them. More here: http://www.beyond-the-pale.co.uk/dogsaints.htm

Lupo is the Italian form and I've always liked that one.
And in Ancient Greek Lukos meant 'wolf'

I will suggest that you come up with of your own name for the character. An anagram name, a combination of your inspiration, the word "wolf" in a foreign language, etc.
If you are not satisfied with such a lovely list of names (in BTN), with "wolf" in the meaning, I am afraid there isn't much anyone can do. Besides, if this character of yours is a product of your imagination, perhaps only a name from your own creativity would fit him...?
Good luck,
Magia.
