Re: Francesca, perhaps? n/t
It would be spelled Cesca in that case (that's indeed a nn for Francesca). I've never seen it in the spellings suggested by the OP (I'm well placed to know since Francesca happens to be my name).*BtN's resident 10th century Japanese novelist*My lovely !!! are Mehitabel, Hypatia and Zohar."In War: Resolution. Sure; but since OP gave two possible spellings, I would guess that she had heard the name but not seen it ... and in a world filled to bursting with Makaiylahs and Darseyghs, it doesn't seem like too much of a stretch anyway.OK, I made those up. I hope!

In Catalan, there is Xesca (nickname of Francesca), pronounced ['ʃɛskə] (SHESS-kuh), and adapted in Spanish as Chesca, pronounced ['tʃeska] (CHAYS-kah).
But, since Fullmetal Alchemist is a manga serie, the name that the OP had heard is possibly a Japanese name (or a pseudoJapanese name, that is a Japanese name adapted to suit Western sounds).

That would make sense. I've seen it spelled both ways(in the manga and in the anime), so that's why I put both. Sorry for the confusion.~Ilana~
