According to an Irish-English dictionary, the word siora in Irish means "afterlife."

There is a slight change of meaning in Scottish Gaelic - the dictionary I found lists sior as meaning 'continual, perpetual, ever' and siorraidh as meaning 'eternal'.http://www.ceantar.org/Dicts/MF2/mf11.html
