Does anyone know how to pronounce the Polish name Wojciech? I know that Woj- is pronounced Voy-, but that's about it.

A nickname for Wojciech is Wojtek - Voy-tek (first syllable stress) That might be easier to pronounce.
It is an old Polish name, from Slavic, from the two roots: woj (voy)(battle, warrior) and ciech (chyekh) (joy, merry). Possible meaning: "one who enjoys war" or "give us joy through (being a great) warrior".
St. Wojciech - one of Poland's patron saints. Traditionally a very common name (in the past an especially "peasant" name.
