What is it about "unto"? It hasn't been used since Shakespeare was a lad. There are lots of modern biblical translations that don't sound like the rattle of ancient mothballs! "Something precious has been given to me" is perfectly acceptable and not pretentious.

Have you got information on how the elements of this name fit together - which "bit" of it means "gift" or "precious" or whatever? That's always useful to know.
