looking for closest langeud'oc varient
I am trying to find out if the name Maysaunt would have been used in southern France in the 13th or 14th century. I found Maysaunt referenced with an English surname in 1297. A variation given was Maysant, derived from the Old French Maissent. I believe Old French is more connected to langued'oil. Thanks for any help.
Also I'd like to here your take on the proper pronunciation.
